SONU 2016 EXECUTIVE RETREAT AT MOMBASA BEACH HOTEL ON 0CTOBER 14-16, 2016
The Students Organization of the Nairobi University (SONU) 2016 held a retreat at the Mombasa Beach hotel between 14th and 16th October, 2016. During the retreat student leaders and the University management discussed issues concerning the welfare of students in the University.
In his address the Vice Chancellor emphasized that “stability and calmness in the University is important for academia”. He stated that the university would endeavor to maintain peace and create a conducive environment for teaching, learning and research which is the core business of the institution. Students were advised to cultivate a conversational and peaceful approach to issues. Consequently, they should make sacrifices required and work hard as leaders to maintain and improve the image of the University.
Students on the other hand promised to support management in their effort maintain to peace and tranquility and that they embrace dialogue in all their dealings.
